Learning to Roller Skate

So, for her third birthday my daughter got a new pair of roller skates.  She has never owned any, so this is a new experience for her.  At first I was a little hesitant to allow her to use these as I didn’t want her to fall & hurt herself.  But, as she started using them & even fell once or twice, she had entirely too much fun to keep them from her.

Here’s a quick video of her testing them out.  As you can see, she found herself having more fun actually having her mommy push her around on them than learning to do it.  I am sure that in time this will change as well.

Before we know it, we will go from “Daddy please push me” to “NO Daddy!  I can do it myself!” She loves to be independent & learn new things.  Plus she is completely adorable.  One thing she has learned already, is that there is no using roller skates without proper protection.  So before they get put on, the elbow pads, knee pads, & helmet get placed on securely.
